Bikes + Boats : A family friendly ride to Debdale Outdoor Centre

We would like to introduce a new ride we're working on to link up Station South with Debdale Outdoor Centre.

We welcome you to this social ride down the Fallowfield Loop to Debdale's hidden secret - the amazing outdoor centre! Riders and families can choose to stay at Debdale and enjoy a water session accessing the boats or to ride back with us after a snack, chat and chill by the water.

Ride Information

Distance : 2.5 miles each way

Speed : 4-7mph

Time : 10-12.30 pm

Terrain : Combination of smooth and bits of bumpy path. There is one steep hill leaving / returning to the FLoop that we may get off our bikes for depending on the group ability.

Suitable for : Beginners / people happy at a slow pace / families

Station South community rides are intended for the rider's maximum enjoyment potential!

We want them to be as inclusive as possible - always free of charge + no one gets left behind. We ride at a pace to suit.

Please make sure your bike is in a road worthy condition, you can always swing it by The Bike Station for a free safety check prior to the ride day and if needed, book it in for repairs - small and large! We will conduct a groups basic bike health check before departing on our ride.

We recommend bringing layers, waterproofs, snacks + water to be prepared for the Greater Manchester elements. If it's sunny, please wear suncream.

We ride rain or shine. If weather is adverse, we will email all registered riders to let them know if circumstances change.

This route is suitable for cargo bikes, trikes, adapted bikes and double trailers 🙂

All adults are responsible for their own children please. We will have one Ride Leader at the front and one at the back, please help us to keep your children within that zone! Please book additional places for each child on a bike. Babies / toddlers in seats or trailers don't need their own booking 🙂
