Thursday Gravel Ride

This is a gravel/off-road night ride. We will ride together, regrouping at each junction. Join us for a social drink at Station South after.

This route can be ridden by a gravel bike, MTB or hybrid with wide off-road tyres. It will likely be muddy, but the route is non-technical.

Good lights compulsory, and please bring a helmet. This is a non-dropping ride, but please make sure you are comfortable with the pace and distance. If there are enough people we will split into two groups, one steady and one faster.

> Distance / Terrain : 30km round trip / Off road paths / Canal-side / Road sections

> Speed : 18-22km/h on flat gravel If there are enough people we will split into two groups, one steady and one faster.

Additional information :

We expect to be out for around 2.5 hours so please bring food, water and adequate clothing. All of the ride will be in the dark, so you must bring good lights that are bright enough to see on un-lit off-road paths.

If for any reason your circumstances change and you can no longer join us, please let us know and we can give your space to someone else. The size of the groups are limited: if the ride is oversubscribed then priority will be given to those who have signed up. Thank you!

How we ride: Our goal is to be a friendly and inclusive cycle club. To achieve this aim we expect all riders to:

- Look out for each other

- Be friendly and supportive to all riders

- Be self-sufficient (e.g. bring appropriate spares and supplies)
