DESCRIPTION:Join us at the free entry launch night for our next exhibition installation at Station South which ties very nicely into our screenings of this years Tour DeFrance… \nExclusive update : The artist\, Joolze Dymond will be joining us for the launch night and will be hosting a talk from 8pm\, followed by a Q+A! \nWhen there is nothing to remember bar the stories…  \nPhotographs go beyond capturing mere visuals; they freeze moments infused with emotion\, context\, and details that allow viewers to construct their own narratives and stories. The untold stories lie in the gaps between what is shown and what the viewer’s imagination fills in. Untold stories is a collection of cycling images captured by Joolze Dymond over her extensive career as a professional cycling photographer\, each with their own unique story ready to be explored. \nJoolze Dymond\, an internationally acclaimed photographer with over two decades of experience\, has seamlessly blended a lifelong passion for cycling with an innate talent for capturing moments through her lens\, whether that be a DSLR\, drone or camera phone. Her journey is not just about capturing moments; it’s about telling the compelling stories of the cycling world\, one frame at a time. She has captured images from all the major cycling events world wide\, working for a number of World Pro cycling teams and media outlets as well as recording images of world record rides. \nClients have included\, British Cycling\, Cycling UK\, Factor Bikes\, One Pro Cycling\, Endura\, Moviestar\, Otterbox\, Cranked magazine\, MBUK\, Cycling Plus\, MBR\, Hope\, Madison\, Cotic\, Islabikes\, Hot Chillee\, Cure Leukaemia\, Wahoo to name but a few. DESCRIPTION:Adults who have just learnt to cycle – or those thinking about returning to cycling : join us for a very gentle and short bike ride along the Fallowfield Loop.\nWe have bikes\, a trike* + helmets available to borrow for your first steps into group cycling.\nMeet : 9.45am @ The Station South ‘Walk + Bike’ container to get set up with your bike [if required] \nDepart : 10am \nDistance / speed / notes : We will cycle along the Fallowfield Loop for about 15 /20 minutes before making our return journey back to Station South for well deserved brews or soft drinks\, on us! \nPlease note – riders need to be able to start\, pedal\, stop and control the bike to join this ride. It is not suitable for riders not yet pedalling. \nClothing : Please wear comfortable clothing + trainers if possible\, tuck in loose fabric. \nEquipment : We have a range of ‘city’ and folding bikes so please arrive in good time to choose which type you’d like to ride. SUMMARY:Thursday Hills : Road Rides
DESCRIPTION:Weekly Hilly Road Rides : a.k.a Thursday Hills\nEach week\, we head out to find another cool climb to endure\, enjoy\, envelop and embrace.\nThursday Hills are a friendly way to explore the local elevation challenges\, with a different climb each week. \nWe’re usually out for around 2-3 hours and almost always head back to Station South for social drinks after [this is optional of course!]. We ride as a group until we reach the hills\, then every rider can take the ascent at their own pace until we re-group at the top\, pat each other on the back and be on our way as a group again. \n[Meet] >>  Station South Bike Benches \n[When] >>  5.50pm for a 6pm departure \n[Suitable for] >> Confident cyclists* used to riding with a group\, fast moving traffic and a speed of 22 – 28km/ph on the flat. \n[Bike required] >>  Road \n[What to bring] >>  Helmet\, water\, snacks\, clothes for the weather\, spare tube\, front + rear lights \n[Tickets] >>  All sign ups and detailed information for our various rides and cycling events are organised through Spond\, which is a platform we use solely for our ‘Pink’ rides. Pink events listed on the website are to hook more people in\, but please make sure you sign up via Spond to join in with these rides.
