The untold stories lie in the gaps between what is shown and what the viewer’s imagination fills in. Untold stories is a collection of cycling images captured by Joolze Dymond over her extensive career as a professional cycling photographer\, each with their own unique story ready to be explored. \nJoolze Dymond\, an internationally acclaimed photographer with over two decades of experience\, has seamlessly blended a lifelong passion for cycling with an innate talent for capturing moments through her lens\, whether that be a DSLR\, drone or camera phone. Her journey is not just about capturing moments; it’s about telling the compelling stories of the cycling world\, one frame at a time. DESCRIPTION:Solo exhibition of paintings\, drawings and prints by locally based artists Kevin Pocock. \nThe exhibition is called ‘The Architecture Of Nature’ and it focuses landscape and natural environment work as seen through the eyes of Kevin with a unique view of the ever evolving world around us. \nOriginally from Wimborne in East Dorset\, in the UK\, he has been living in Manchester now for many years. He studied architecture at Cambridge University and have exhibited widely in the UK and abroad in the USA\, Germany\, Italy and Australia. Kevin was also included in the 2012 John Moores Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery\, Liverpool.

SUMMARY:Jill Woodward Exhibition Launch
DESCRIPTION:An exhibition celebrating Jill Woodward: cyclist\, artist – activist\, nurse & mother. \nJill Woodward (1948-2023) lived in Longsight in the 1970s and ‘80s and worked in this area as a nurse for much of her life. Recognised as a local nurse\, her identity as an artist was less well-known.  She left behind an extensive collection of work including cartoons\, sketches\, embroideries and placards\, recording her involvement with local campaigns\, such as the one to keep lollypop patrols\, national ones like CND.  She was involved in the solidarity group linking Manchester to Puerto Cabezas\, in Nicaragua\, and went there on a study tour in 1990. \nAmongst this busy life she brought up her son Peter and\, in her last years\, supported her elderly mother. \nJoin us in the viewing platform for an exhibition of her work. \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:An exhibition of Manchester of artwork from some of Manchester’s finest vinyl record labels \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s been said that ‘Manchester kids have the best record collections’ (which is probably quite true!) but its also a well whispered fact that Manchester is home to some outstanding independent record labels. \n‘Physical Space – Surface noise’ is an exhibition of vinyl sleeve artwork from some of the finest local homegrown labels where a cottage industry & organic approach is undertaken on each release and where screen printing\, hand stamping and various other creative methods are all part of the stunning end results. \nThe exhibition launches on Thurs 30th May with artwork from releases on labels & screen printers: \n\nMelodic Records\nSprechen\nBefore I Die\nSemi Skimmed Edits\nSmall Press Studio\nOne69A \nThere will also be pop up shops from all involved on the launch selling records & various merch as well as back to back DJ’s providing the evening’s soundtrack.
