DESCRIPTION:For the second year running\, Bee Pedal Ready and Station South are joining bike forces to bring glowing wheeling women to the dark streets and parks of Manchester – Lights Up\, encore!\n\nBringing awareness to the number of women drop significantly through the darker and winter months\, through various barriers. We want to change this.\n\nWe are offering ‘feeder rides’ to and from the city\, where we’ll ride in as a group to meet a plethora of amazing women of all ages at All Saint’s Park – this will form our ‘main ride’.\n\nOur main ‘bike disco’ ride will weave across the city as a pack before heading south\, towards and through 3 different parks [often avoided by many in the throes of a wintry evening]\, before wheeling our way over to the astounding Victoria Baths for brews\, hot food and a bike party!\n\n> To ensure illuminations across the ride\, we have a couple of pannier bags full of wheel lights – free to you – for women joining feeder rides AND for the first 50 to arrive at the main ride. \n> All bikes are welcome! We connected after being diagnosed with ADHD and immediately saw the value in spending time with other like-minded (wavy) folk who just get it. \nWe wanted to make sure everybody had access to a safe space where they could truly be themselves\, something that didn’t seem to exist locally. \nIn June 2023 we established Neurowavy as a community for neurodivergent folks\, offering a monthly meet-up and ad-hoc events. \nWhat to expect? \nPut simply\, it’s an opportunity to spend a little time with some like-minded folk in a no-pressure setting. Super friendly\, super informal\, super relaxed. They play a raw bluesy version of Americana\, combined with a melodicism that is often reminiscent of The Replacements and the Paisley Underground scene of the mid-80s. We connected after being diagnosed with ADHD and immediately saw the value in spending time with other like-minded (wavy) folk who just get it. \nWe wanted to make sure everybody had access to a safe space where they could truly be themselves\, something that didn’t seem to exist locally. \nIn June 2023 we established Neurowavy as a community for neurodivergent folks\, offering a monthly meet-up and ad-hoc events. \nWhat to expect? \nPut simply\, it’s an opportunity to spend a little time with some like-minded folk in a no-pressure setting. Super friendly\, super informal\, super relaxed. DESCRIPTION:Jot is a brand new Manchester-based pop-up bookshop & journal run by avid readers and book lovers Laura and Swen. The shop offers a carefully selected assemblage of contemporary fiction\, poetry and essay from predominantly independent publishers and presses\, as well as works that gently and brilliantly challenge the boundaries of forms and genres.  \nA children’s section playfully named The Department of Clouds and Yogurts contains new and second-hand books by a number of lesser known authors and illustrators.
