About The Job

We are looking for a creative, experienced and motivated chef to lead the team at our venue. 

You will have a passion for serving up modern classics, from light bites to hearty meals and seasonal specials using quality ingredients. You’ll have a flair for menu development and a commitment to creating a positive work culture within the kitchen and venue.

What you’ll do

  • Work with local suppliers and producers to develop a seasonal menu 
  • Create a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and cared for
  • Share your passion and knowledge of food, ingredients and cooking techniques with your whole team
  • Implement clear procedures to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served
  • Work proactively with the creative team to ensure food is presented for social media
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Effectively control your gross profit and labour budget and achieve financial targets
  • Keep the kitchen clean and safe for your team and customers

What you’ll have

  • You’ve got significant experience leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen
  • You’re passionate about creating great food with quality ingredients 
  • You’re experienced working with online delivery companies (Deliveroo, Just Eat etc) and running a take-out operation
  • You know how to manage gross profit and your labour budget
  • You have a strong understanding of food safety and health and safety procedures
  • You recognise the importance of progression and have previously developed your team

We are looking for an approachable, experienced and motivated bike repair specialist and store manager to lead the Bike Station team at Station South.

You will be passionate about enabling more people, from all backgrounds, to get cycling. You’ll have technical, sales and financial management expertise and a commitment to creating a positive work culture within the bike station and venue.

What you’ll do

  • Leading with overall responsibility for daily operations in the Bike Station
  • Managing and motivating a growing Bike Station team 
  • Training and teaching others about cycle maintenance
  • Checking and undertaking repairs and delivering all levels of service, including repairing and maintaining electric bikes
  • Working alongside the engagement team to involve and manage volunteers with Bike Station events and activities
  • Creating a positive bike repair environment where your team feel welcomed and cared for
  • Sharing your passion and knowledge of bicycle repair and maintenance techniques with your team
  • Working with suppliers to reduce costs of parts and accessories
  • Working proactively with the creative team to create content for social media 
  • Working alongside the management team to achieve financial targets
  • Keeping your workshop clean and safe for your team and customers
  • Helping to develop the long term vision for the Bike Station 
  • Managing the booking process for repair and maintenance
  • Ensuring health and safety in the workshop
  • Stock taking and cashing up
  • Keeping a tidy store front, organised back of house
  • Promoting products, brands and services to a broad range of customers

What you’ll have

  • A passion for cycling
  • A recognised cycle service qualification 
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience in financial management and achieving financial targets
  • Experience liaising with suppliers
  • An understanding how to maximise servicing and sales opportunities
  • Experience of EPOS systems and e-commerce
  • An understanding of how to undertake repairs and deliver all levels of service
  • An ability to motivate others and build a strong team
  • An ability to advise and recommend products and services to suit customer needs and budget
  • Excellent customer service and dealing with customer feedback
