Break up meetings and planning sessions with a guided walk or a traffic free cycle ride to nearby nature reserve.
Corporate Volunteering
How can you help?
You could be planting a herb garden, building a bug hotel or helping with coppicing and woodland management. Taking part in practical activities as a group is a great way for you to experience team building in the great outdoors, whilst making a real difference to the environment, wildlife and local community.
Volunteering at Station South helps transform space for people and wildlife, reducing our impact on climate, increasing biodiversity and improving the wellbeing of the hundreds of people passing through and using the gardens each day and for years to come.
What are the benefits for you?
Get some exercise in the outdoors, spend quality time with colleagues, learn practical skills, connect with nature, improve wellbeing, enjoy top quality seasonal, local food and drink while supporting action on climate. Experienced and flexible, our team will make organising the day simple.
Our Green Hub Coordinator @mancforager has a wealth of knowledge to share about the nature on our doorstep and you may learn tips for growing food or inviting wildlife into your garden at home. There’s plenty to take away from the day and a legacy to leave behind.
Why Station South?
Station South CIC is a destination cafe, bar, bike repair workshop and urban garden in a beautifully restored rail station on a traffic free walking and cycling path in Levenshulme, Manchester.
The Station Green garden hosts a range of facilities including bike hire, bike tools, seating, toddler’s bike maze, bike parking and an accessible solar lit path onto the greenway; as well as our Green Hub: a community growing space designed and constructed by local volunteers.
We’re helping to tackle climate change by providing facilities for people who cycle and activities to support people to cycle and by transforming local green space – and that’s where you come in!
