Join us at Station South in August for an all-day-long event of record shop crate diggin’ and The Taxidermist in the mix!
‘Dig Deep’ is an event concept hosted by record label and mobile shop, Black Beacon Sound. The event welcomes some of the most sought after and upfront promoters, DJs, musicians, and producers, as well as friends and family of the label, along with favourite out-and-out music aficionados, and presents them with stacks of boss records from the BBS mobile record shop.
A guest act is then invited to take on the ‘Dig Deep’ mix series, challenged with completing a one-off live set under the conditions of: one hour to dig…one hour to prepare…and one hour to record a mix; playing in front of a live audience in the evening.
Earlier on in the day the BBS mobile record shop crates are open to the public [families and children also welcome until 19:00], where vinyl heads can dig themselves, and find label favourites, rarities, and second hand gems.

Guest: The Taxidermist
The Taxidermist, aka Stacy Faye, is a Levenshulme-based DJ, radiohost, and creative. She co-runs things over at ‘Amateur Hour’ bringing together new and established friends and DJs “for a well good time init”, and is already regularly broadcasting on Reform radio, too, having fast become a reputable and adored local in and around the Manchester music scene.
With an inspired love and interest for music full of groove, her mission is to deliver funked up grooves, soul, and disco, via sweats and giggles. On that note, expect output to feature a dance full of flavour, with vocal bangers, and tasteful house pumpers; embodied by the weird and wonderful gems to be found in the BBS record shop crates, for this special one-off mix!
