Weโre showing some key stages of the most celebrated bike race in the world, right on our sunshine [โ๏ธ๐คย ] terrace here at Station South!
See below for the timetable of our screened stages. We are adding layers of cycling joy by hosting themed Club rides to celebrate some of the stages as they unravel before collapsing back to base in time to watch the racing! Note – no ride for this stage, but check out some of the others!
180.6km, 3850m of elevation and a summit finish.
Hopefully by now the lumpy (but not mountainous) route will leave the race finely poised.
Join us at Station South from 1pm to watch the stage LIVE for one of our TDF Watch Parties.
Expected finish 16.30-17.00.
With a coffee or a beer, join us as they tackle first the 1st Cat Col du Soulor, followed by the 2nd Cat Col des Borderes before the long, 13.6km grind to Hautacam. A HC climb, with an average of 7.8%, this is a sweltering climb where the tour can crunch out-of-reach. 1996, Miguel Indurain watched a record 6th tour inch away from him as the bald top of EPO-riddled Bjarne Rijs blinded him in the sun. In 2000, Armstrong, EPO-riddled, showed Ullrich that just EPO, whether Fuente Pop or Ferrari Soda, it didn’t matter, Ullrich needed to lose weight, as the wind and rain did for the stoic East German. 2022 saw Vingegaard and Van Aert bury a confused Pogacar as the Green Jersey towed the Yellow to the line and the White foundered. Basically this climb’s a big deal.
Sack off work, it’s Summer, it’s the Tour. Thurs Hills after tackles our own mountain.
