The women’s tour promises to be an exciting one this year so we’re calling all women + no-binary of the pink crew to join us to celebrate!
The pros will be on their second stage on the Sunday, but it’s a flat stage, so we’ll do something more akin to their first stage. They’ll be tackling 79km with a mixture of flat then 3 climbs, we’ll be doing something similar but condensed into 66km, starting with Cheshire flats before three lumpier sections, climbing up the CΓ΄te d’Artistes (/Artists Lane) to the Wizard near Alderley Edge, before a steady climb from Prestbury to Bollington.
A short sharp climb for the puncheurs follows up the Mur de Sucre (Sugar Lane) out of Bollington, then we’re onto rolling terrain near Poynton for the peleton to get back together before the final sprint train down the A6. Unfortunately, traffic lights might stop any race winning moves, but we’ll end up back at Station South for the post-ride interviews (or just some coffee and cake)

Pace: Cappuccino – 24-26kph / 15-16mph. We’ll move quite speedily on the flat and rolling sections of the route and regroup at the top of the climbs

Stop: we won’t stop for food or drink until we get back to Station South, so make sure you’re prepped with enough snacks and water
