We’ll be doing a slightly shorter and less technical route so you and your wheels can enjoy this friendly intro to our regular Wednesday gravel rides a.k.a Whacky Wednesdays

> Distance / Terrain : 40km / 24 miles of mainly off-road with some loose gravel with minimal hills [200m elevation in total]
> Speed : Paced to suit the group, no one gets left behind!
> Suitable for : Confident cyclists used to riding on loose gravel, roads and with a group. Suitable for MTB, gravel, touring bikes . Road, commuter, city bikes not recommended.

> *What does SSCC Pink mean? We have divided our cycling club into three colour categories to help people find the ride that suits them best. Pink rides are our more advanced rides, check out the poster below for more information..
>We expect to be out for around 2.5 hours so please bring food, water and adequate clothing.
> Open to all adults over 18 yrs with some experience of rides over 15 miles / 24 km
> Please wear a helmet. This is a non-dropping ride, but please make sure you are comfortable with the route and distance before booking.
> We ride rain or shine but if the weather is really adverse, please check your inboxes in the morning.
>This ride is listed on EventBrite and Spond [where most of our Pink rides are organised. You only need to sign up on one of these platforms.
How we ride: Our goal is to be a friendly and inclusive cycle club. To achieve this aim we expect all riders to:
– Look out for each other
– Be friendly and supportive to all riders
– Be self-sufficient (e.g. bring appropriate spares and supplies)
