Reddish Men in Sheds is a group of (mainly) older men who meet to service and repair donated bicycles. We sell these refurbished bicycles to the community via a Reddish charity shop (Re:Dish) or direct sales such as this ‘pop-up’ market at Station South.
They are sold at modest prices to ensure that as many people as possible can access cycling regardless of income. We also donate bikes via our ‘Bike Giveaway’ scheme to community groups/ schools and bike libraries to serve populations facing financial or social disadvantage.
We prevent a lot of old bikes from sitting unloved, unused and rusting; bikes that may otherwise go to waste or landfill.
