Get cycling this summer! Make new friends! Begin your biking journey…
Join Anna and Sumayra in Cringle Park to learn how to cycle – or boost your confidence if you’re new or returning back to cycling.
We have a small fleet of bikes, helmet and a trike available to use for the sessions.
When : Thursday Mornings throughout June [book a ticket for each session you would like to attend]
Time : 10am – 11am
Where : Cringle Park 5-a-side football pitch [next to the children’s play area]
+++++++++++++++
Anna and Sumayra, [qualified and super friendly insturctors] will support you through the following:
>> Introduction to the bike and helmet
>> Getting on and off the bike
>> Beginning to scoot on the bike and learning how to brake
>> Learning to use the pedals
>> Making the bike go where you want it to [in a large open space]
+++++++++++++++
>> This is a Big Bike Revival event for Station South kindly insured and funded by Cycling UK who ask for consent to contact you after the event to ask you a few questions about your cycling habits. Please let Anna or Sumayra know before the session if you don’t want to be contacted.
>> Sessions are for those aged 18+
>> We will supply a bike and helmet for you, but you can bring your own if you’d prefer
>> There will be other participants on the course who are also there to learn to ride a bike
>> If weather is adverse, please check your inbox the morning of the session as we may cancel if it’s really horrible
>> We have to transport the bikes over from Station South to Cringle Park, any help bringing them over is much appreciated! Please contact Anna : community@stationsouth.co.uk if you can help wheeling one over. Thanks.
Friendly notice! If for any reason your circumstances change and you can no longer join us, please cancel your slot on EventBrite [this is a single click through your ticket confirmation email] and we can give your space to someone else. The size of the groups are exctremely limited and although free to you [woohoo!] they come with cost and planning on our part and we love to see all places being enjoyed to their full potential. Thank you.
