Maintenance Masterclass with Mary [Punctures]

De-mystify the deflation with our expert mechanic Mary, in this Punctures Masterclass on the beautiful Station South Viewing Platform!

We have complimentary brews to hydrate your learning and some amazing bikey freebies to take away from the session to help you on your way. Not to mention our absolute pro working you through some of the following intricacies of tyre life.

Masterclass includes :

  • What is a puncture?
  • How do you get them?
  • Can you prevent them?
  • Fix or replace? Should you fix your tube or fit a new one?
  • What do I do if I get a puncture?
  • Removing the front wheel
  • Fear of the rear! Removing the rear wheel
  • Hub gear v derailleur
  • Axles – Quick release, Thru, Nutted.
  • Tyre removal
  • Tu-be or not tu-be. Is tubeless better?
  • I.D. parade. Inflation capacity, size, valve type.
  • Tools you will need.
  • The many questions about puncture repair answered.
