Celebrate individuality and carve your own unique symbol of Pride at this creative linocut printmaking workshop at Station South as part of Levenshulme Pride celebrations.
Whether inspired by your personal journey, heritage, or what Pride means to you today, this hands-on session invites you to explore identity and self-expression through bold, colourful prints. Linocut is a brilliant introduction to printmaking – perfect for creating striking images with strong lines and vibrant textures.
Unwind, get creative, and follow your intuition as you design, carve, and hand-print your own Pride-inspired linocut. You’ll learn how to burnish by hand using a selection of beautiful Japanese and Western papers, all guided by artist and workshop leader Rachel.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your original linocut print and the skills to keep printing at home – and you’ll have had space to celebrate exactly who you are, through art.
