Refugee Week Free Film Club Presents: Life is Beautiful and Short films

An evening of thoughtfully curated free films to celebrate Refugee Week 2025. Expect 3 thought provoking and moving films that invite us to celebrate the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Come and grab and drink and lose yourself in an evening of free films.

Feature film: Life is Beautiful.
Exiled above the arctic circle in Norway, Palestinian filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly insists on telling heartfelt stories from his hometown Gaza. Despite his statelessness and having only limited connection to his family abroad, he manages to channel support from friends and his own creativity, adhering to his motto LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. And throughout it all, he fights for his rights with integrity, community, and a smile for the world.
