Expect a genre hopping evening of soul music through the decades & genres as Yemi will take us through the soulful eras from vintage soul to contemporary classics of jazz, pop and disco to get you up and in the Saturday night mood, with her acoustic drum-led trio! Independent soul artist, Yemi Bolatiwa has been gracing Manchester stages for over 7 years. She’s been played on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, BBC 6 Music and more; had performances and features on BBC Introducing Manchester, BBC Radio Manchester and BBC 1Xtra singing her confessional tracks and as a co-writer and topline vocalist, on many underground electronic releases.
Seen across the city and beyond as one of the lead vocalists for The Untold Orchestra, Paradox Orchestra, Alberts Schloss Haus Band and more, Yemi has a power and prowess that is tried, tested and refined, but always dynamic.
After being long-listed for Glastonbury’s emerging talent competition twice, it’s been shown that Yemi has a vocal eloquence that people rarely see on today’s live music scene!
