I hope everyone is enjoying the cosy autumnal weather!
Over the last month we have been planting winter bedding, clearing the bank of brambles and installing Station South’s new wayfaring signs!

Hopefully people are please to know the usual Thursday morning volunteering sessions are continuing over the winter. I think it is really important to encourage people to get outside as the days get shorter and colder. There are so many benefits to mental and physical health from spending time outside and it’s good to provide an opportunity for this. Of course if it’s really bucketing down we can use the building. There are also lots of rewarding and important jobs to do this time of year. I have planned some sessions including composting, creating a wild flower bank and tree pruning to keep people warm and learn about sustainable gardening practices.

You don’t have to book onto the sessions and are very welcome to just turn up where all equipment and materials are provided as well as a warm brew. We always finish the session with a bowl of soup in the café. Please drop me an email if you are interested in attending the sessions or would like more information. I would love to hear people’s ideas about what they would like to grow, learn or share with other people.

Finally I am hosting a wreath making workshop at the end November. Price includes a mulled wine/ apple juice and mince pie. Book using eventbrite.

Thanks and I hope to see everyone in the garden soon.
