End of Summer Hello from the Bike Station

As the air freshens up, the fires die down and the soaring heat settles into smooth and welcoming mid teens – perfect, we think, for a full day out on the bike! August has seen an unbelievable amount of brilliant SSCC rides head out – so this newsletter is mainly an appreciation those adventures…
From pummelling of the hills to the point of blissful exertion exhaustion, to iridescent sunset gravel rides across great expanses of open sky, hill climb races beneath an orange sun & roady moments with sunflowers, cycling to the end of rainbows and obligatory team selfies in front of our club house pre-ride. Smiley shots from the hill tops & marvelling at historical buildings off the beaten track.
It’s really quite unbelievable how much beauty and green space you can reach by bike, from our humble abode.
Photos expertly captured by riders in transit and by the EPIC ride leaders, for without which, none of these adventures would be possible. Thank you to the golden SSCC community, friendliest club imaginable!

…and then it was time to join the big Lev Pride parade along the A6 – on bikes of course!
Continuing with our Tour de Femmes run-up-to-race-day celebration events, why not join in with some of Station South Cycling Club’s women for these unique sessions hosted just down the road in Stockport!?

Whether you’re completely new to off-road riding, getting ready for your first cyclocross race or simply want to refresh your skills, this supportive FLINTA-focused series is for you.
For the fourth year running, Station South and Bee Pedal Ready are collaborating to bring Lights Up, a moving festival on wheels, to Manchester’s streets and parks. The event promotes safer streets for women and girls and is open to everyone!
